Tough question. We could "select" different criteria to make a case for any of the pairings. Muslims and Jews share many dietary laws. Muslims and Christians share concepts of heaven/hell/angels. Christians and Jews share The Book. Confusing, ain't it?

IMHO, they are just three branches of one religion. The Jews gave us the Law. Christianity teaches us to apply the Law with mercy. And Islam lays out a practical program of daily life for living the Law with mercy.

God is Great.

Quran says that Christians are closer to Muslims than Jews (don't remember which Aya); not sure about Christians and Jews. But generally speaking the spirit should be, as you said, that of tolerance and love.

I am a Muslim too and I have Christian, Jewish and even non-believing colleagues and get along with them all very well as they do with me. We are all human beings at the end of the day.

It's the Muslims and Christians, because it even says that in the Qur'an. There isn't that much of a difference between us, but I believe that was back then, history I mean. Now it's more like the Jews and Muslims.

The Quran says that the Christians are closest to Muslims in belief, but I actually have not determined that there is any difference in fundamental belief between Muslims and Jews. (I'm an American Muslim too - proudly living in Redneckville Virginia, and I consider all to be my brothers and sisters in humanity.)

People say Jews and Muslims, but in my own opinion I think it's Muslims and Christians

Christian and Muslims are closer together. They both claim to be the One True Faith. They both have different groups that have broken off because of this. Catholics/Protestants and Sunni/Shea. They both seem intent upon global conquest.

What do you mean by "close" ?

I think there will always be some distance between religions, as each religion teaches that they are the only true religion (thus implying that every other religion is false).

Personally, I think we all worship the same god, but under different names, and in different styles.

Whether the god we worship actually exists is another question.

i think its more christians and muslims. many marriages happend between muslims and christians.

Quran 5:82
[82] .......and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud.
