don't stress. you can't really uninstall directx, but that's not what is casuing the problem. Microsoft used their auto update feature to install a counterfeit software detection thing on every windows pc, and it gives loads of false positives - ie tells you that a real copy is a fake.
if it's real (if you bought the computer new from a reputable seller, or bought windows seperately) - you can normally tell by a little holographic windows stcker on the side, don't worry about it - you can get in touch with them and tell them you have a real copy, and there should be no worries.
if it's a dud copy (that you picked up in china or installed a copy of windows that belonged to a friend) then either - get it licensed, or ignore it - they've had such problems with the software that they won't chase you for it (that might be illegal anyway)

This is Microsoft saying you may be a victim of counterfeiting software with all its pop ups you even get this if they think you have non genuinee windows, many have genuin and still get this.So contact who supplied your windows XP and ask them to sort it out.As of DirectX its free to download if the Microsoft pop ups get to much remove the WGA program search the web they have a program to remove this, until you get this sorted out
