The Thames discharges into the Thames Estuary which is considered to be part of the southernmost portion of the North Sea.
The English Channel, as given in some other answers is generally regarded to end at the Cap Gris Nez/Dover narrows (the Straits of Dover) some way south of where the Thames reaches the sea. Thus the Thames enters the North Sea, NOT the English Channel.
