You know Daffy that has nothing to do with the fans or supporters of Sydney. That was not our decision. As a matter of fact I did sit up and watch the event on foxsport, so here is one fan not jumping on any bandwagon. I follow and support all our codes here because I love my sport. Look the same could be said for Melbourne jumping on bandwagons but it won't be said by me as our competitions are now national comps and as such everyone has the right to chase success.

Hey Daffy, I love the footy but I still think the Brownlow makes for boring TV, I guess the Sydney TV executives (rather than the fans) agree. I really thought Scott West was going to win.

Everyone says that swans fans are bandwagon supporters, which is probably true to a degree, but I think its good that Aussie Rules is getting some national coverage, afterall (and I'm sure you'll agree with me on this) it beats the sh-it out of rugby.

All teams increase their popularity when they are doing well, be it the Swans or Melbourne teams or any other sport. ie Socceroos.
I bet any of the Melbourne clubs would beg borrow or steal to get 60,000+ to a normal home and away game. Even if they are fair weather fans.
As for why the Brownlow wasn'y shwon, I can't say but probably they felt it wouldn't get a prime time audience.

Yea, but channel TEn has Australian Idol from 7-8.30pm, this cannot be canceled because it is a LIVE verdict. Who knows why Channel 10 didnt show the bronlow medal ceremony. Yay, Adam Goodes won!

Hey Daffy,

I get the feeling there is one MASSIVE band wagon rolling along there in Sydney..........and you dont like it! Dont reckon the Brownlow would rate too well in a rugby town......you will have to get updates on the net mate.

its better if they keep afl in melbourne as personally i think the game is almost as exciting as watching my grass grow,so i am happy that they didnt show it ,compared to r/league its no better than indoor bowls,,keep the silly game out of n s w,

Because Sydney knows the difference between good & bad T.V.

Melbourne - Well they can't tell, so that's why they have the crap on in prime-time
