My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

try swimming. Sorry about your ankle. I started trying to get fit with my sister earlier in the year, we cycled. Unfortunately on our 4th week out she had a bad fall, ended up losing two teeth, scarring face, dislocating thumb and multiple other bumps and bruises. She has been declared fit by the doctor just two weeks ago - 5 months off work. I hope your ankle heals quicker!

Dear smiles, you should learn to walk before ran...Don't you get, OK than!
Try to walk an hour a day for a month than try jogging for 20-30 min a day for tow months and than try running 10-15 min every day for a month after this you can ran 30 min three times every week.... you wouldn't look like a whale any more.

Swimming! It doesn't place great impact on your joints like running does, and is a great therapeutic exercise or whatever you call it. Many people who can't run can still swim. Be sure to treat your ankle with care, and perhaps you can swim in the meantime before resuming running =)

I dont think you can do any other exercises without a pair of good legs. You can lose weight by eating fruits i think(dont know). Maybe you were running too fast or you were still running even though you were stressed enough. Heal that ankle ASAP, so that you can exercise again :)
hope this helped dont know much still young ^_^ peace \m/

Get a trampette. You can get them from about £20 from any sport shop and even supermarkets and Argos stock them now.

Great aerobic exercise and it takes the strain off joints too so should be great whilst your ankle gets better.
