Of course looks are the first thing we can see before we would like to be with a person.
But for me, most important is the attitude. I become disappointed when I met a goodlooking guy with bad attitude.

People always go for looks first in the hope that the personality will be equally attractive. How can anyone go for personality without considering looks? I suppose it would be like fancying a DJ just from hearing them on the radio in which case, you would hope their looks match their personality.

to be completely honest i actually dont go for looks i go for confidence! If a man is confident enough to approach me then hes got more chance than a good looking guy who aint got balls to talk to me also i gotta be able to have a good converstion with him...just think if you ended up with someone who was good looking but you couldnt talk too what would you do when you are old and sex isnt a part of your relationship anymore - It would be likely you would grow to hate eachother - Lucky enuf my bf has got confidence and on top is good looking!

I met my now hubby through a newspaper ad, Dating agency. It was when we met that at first I wasn't attracted ti him at all. But because he was so funny and pleasant I decided to start seeing him.. We now have 2 children and are happily married so no looks are not as important as a persons personality, and it's not always lust at first sight.

Being attracted to someone gets your attention, but their personality keeps your attention. A pretty person with an ugly attitude is ugly. A decent looking person with a nice attitude makes them more attractive.

Well you are showing your age and immaturity then.... you can of course be attracted to a man without him being necessarily good looking, but these are men that you generally get to know, either through friends or through the work that you do.
In all the times that I've gone for looks, I've been bitterly disappointed.

Unless you start dating a friend you will automatically judge on looks first. There is no-way you look across a bar, restaurant or nightclub and say ohh i bet he has a great personality!!!!
How you are attracted to people defines whether or not you will be able to date him/her.

Well I always used to tell my friends that I went for personality but I didnt I would walk over to a guy if I didnt find him attractive I know its bad but there you go....?

i believe is a SEE-SAW effect. anything too much on either sides will off balance it.
sometimes its quite rare to find a lady or a man with looks and with good characters.
Looks are reaction to ur body's reaction towards the person. and personality is defined under the true love as u get to know the real stuff in him or her.. think twice..
and if looks are all it matters, then paste brad pitt or vanessa willaims pic on ur wall and love it all the way.. if u get my point..
