You've described a number of symptoms that are in fact associated with clinical depression. You might consider visiting your GP and evaluating your current mood and appetite, to see whether refering you to a specialist is appropriate.
In terms of spirituality, my only advice here is to remember that we don't pray to "feel it." At some point, religious faith matures to the point that we accept God's influence in our life as a reality independent of our own feelings about it.
There is a word for those times when that presence and influence do not manifest themselves. A Catholic monk named John of the Cross calls these times in our lives the "Dark Night of the Soul", and likened this journey in our lives to Jesus' journey to calvary. Even he said atop that hill, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
St. John of the Cross said that it is the journey into the dark that leads us into the light. For if we never visit the dark, how will we ever even know we are in the light?
This cyclical aspect of life is present in all religions. Take Ramadan, a fairly gloomy period of fasting and introspection. What ends it? A sliver of light from the moon.
Take heart. God is there; he always has been. You may not feel it now, but when you do feel it again, it will be with the power of suns, and you will know the difference.

you do have all the symptom's of depression, I know because I have the same. If this is resent, what is it that has caused it. A divorce, separation, a death, poor health, what? The first thing you need to do is go to your doctor & get the medication you need, It does help. I know some will jump on this who have negitive feelings towards medication, but I know it works! Your doctor may want you to also talk with someone. If you have a church , find someone to talk to there, and then PRAY!!
It took me a long time, & I still have problems now & then, but it is better.
I will pray for you.

yes and it is a hard knot to untie. Ask yourself was there something that happened just b4 this began that might have caused it. If there was not you need to see a psychiatrist for meds. If there was something then you can try counseling. Big chuches have counselors usually cheap or for free. They can recommend other help if it is needed. I am a liciensed counselor and I think from your discription that meds would help. I am also a christian and when they said in the Bible to apply oil that was a medication at that time so do not let some religious Zealot tell you not to go for help.

It happens with me aswell. It just the matter of time you would definitely feel better in sometime.Try writing about how you feel and you'll surely get to the core of the feeling. It happens to me aswell i burst into tears while laughing and while crying i start laughing.Maybe you're missing someone or something.Try figuring out whats annoying you.Unconsciously something is disturbing you which you are unable to figure out.Go, sit down and write everything down in a diary and you'll surely come up with the reason of feeling this way.Chao.

It's possible that you are depressed, but it depends on how long you've been feeling this way. I would recommend that you find a Christian psychologist in your area and make an appointment to talk to them soon. They will be able to help you with your feelings of physical and spiritual depression. Keep praying, and take advantage of the wisdom and knowledge that God has given others to help you through this.

I don't know. I have been depressed before. I was just sitting around and when I would get up, I would walk slowly. Being very quiet and being actually nice and listening to everyone. Not eating at all. Everyone around was just worried and I didn't like that cause it made me more depressed. I think something is bothering you. Try to find out what.

I'm no Doctor but you should see one immediately. I sounds like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
It makes you feel really depressed because you want to do things but you can't find the energy to move or get started. So you feel guilty & that makes you feel depressed.

Yes, you are. The good thing is, you passed the first step-admitting it. Talk to your doctor or call a counselor, if not for you, then for the people around you.
