No. I am 40 and used to teach English to ESL students and I still cannot read perfectly. Even the best educated people occasionally come across words that they cannot pronounce or understand, without consulting a dictionary.

There is a difference between ignorant and stupid. Ignorant is something you didnt know, stupid is when you know, but do the wrong things anyway. I know plenty of people who can read well that are stupid.
Along those same lines, there are people that cant read a lick that are geniuses when it comes 2 certain things.
So my answer is NO.
Everyone is good at something---right? everyone cant be good at everything.
Were you referring to yourself in your qeustion?

Could be that you are dyslexic & not aware of it. See if you can get tested for dyslexia & you can be helped if you are. It doesn't mean you are stupid.....after all you are using a computor & you asked the question. That doesn't sound stupid to me. good luck
