Answer...there is but it is still in a trail period. There is another they are working on to lessen the side effects. Be patient, they are getting there with it.

I'm sure they could be developed, problem with hormone type contraceptives is that they takes away your libido also - i.e. you won't feel like having sex anymore (or at least not as much as normal).

For example Depo Provera is a shot that some women get as birth control. One shot lasts like 3 months or something. It also works for men... except it takes away their sex drive as well. It's in fact used sometimes as chemical castration for male sex offenders.

Decrease in sperm count seems to be always associated with decrease in sex drive. Medical science so far can't separate the two.

Anyway, this is what I know, I'm not an expert.

Answer this question: If you were female, would you believe or trust a guy that told you he had taken this pill. After all, you are the one that's going to get pregnant, would you be willing to take the chance or would you rather use your own form of contraception and be a bit more certain?
