Hasbro Monopoly for PC?

My daughter got this game and it was made in 97 so it's pretty old. When I install it then try and start the game it says that I need to put the CD-Rom in the drive and wait for the light to go off (and yes I did this), but it refuses to play. Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing this error, or bypassing it??

I already tried that, I'm not computer illiterate, lol

Run the cd-rom manually by going into my computer and double clicking on the cd-rom icon (ussually its D: drive). That should auto run the application and u should be ok.
