Cheesecakes don't really taste like cheese they are creamy and great. I can't believe that you have never had a cheesecake. You should try it if you haven't and eat more if you have eat more.

Somewhat. Since cheesecakes are made with cream cheese, they do taste of it. Creamy, rich, slightly tart.
Since there are a great variety of cheese which can taste vastly different from each other, it's hard to say what a basic "cheese" taste is.

they taste like cream cheese.
cream cheese is very mild in flavor, so most cheesecakes that have other flavorings added taste less like cream cheese, and more like the added flavor.
all cheesecakes, however, have a cream cheese like texture if made properly.
