isn't it a person's right to decide if they want to continue to live in this world or leave it at the time they decide? who is to say a person has to stay here if they don't want to anymore? i've never understood how someone could think they have so much control over another as to tell when they can and can not live or die. especially in the cases of terminal illness or traumatic injury to the body, or even yes, serious mental illness.

Euthanasia the term comes from the Greek expression for "good death."
This subject is quiet controversial and i would imagine a lot of issues may have to be taken into account on this subject.
Terminal illness i would say if the person wishes to die, then they should be allowed to do so, but only with physicians who know about the effects of the illness.
Some type of collective body should be set up that would aid ending their life in those circumstances.
There might be times where someone may have had a serious accident and wish they were dead because of the pain they may be experiencing, but the pain in the future will get easier with the right treatment then my answer would be no to Euthanasia
Mental illness i hope they would get the required help but not death.
I think the laws are there to protect when you may get someone say like Harold Shippam or a family/ member that might try to convince people that this person should be allowed to die for their unscrupulous means gain or greed.

I think there should be alot of thought put into the rights of the terminally ill. If i new I was going to die a painful horrible dragged out death with no chance of recovery I would like to have the choice to put myself out of my and everyone Else's misery.
This is a serious topic. and should not be joked about.

if you got a terminal illness i can see letting a person check out before they endure all that pain like some diseases give you while it slowly kills you! but the churches all say god says its not your life to take so its a sin i dont go to church but i believe in god i dont wanna find out in the wrong place their right lol and besides their are people who care about you here

it is the case when doctor find no reason of the patient 's recovery and if patient's family also agree on this then only his death can be called. it the case when patient says himself or if can't then his family request so
