Ever noticed (admitted) that Ginger Haired people have ugly skin that burns fast in the sun? Sure you have...!

Yet - even in the UK - you can go all week without setting eyes on a single red-haired person on the street, so they're hardly representative. So what I can't understand is that TV and Movie studios - in the USA and UK...! - always seem to cast at least one Red-Haired character to star in their productions.
I guess I'm just colour prejudiced - but you KNOW I'm RIGHT...!

I apologise in advance if I've hurt anyone's feelings. Obviously, I'm airing my point of view and these are only my personal assumptions but I thought that asking others to (either) support or reject personal assumptions was what this forum was all about. It is a discussion platform after all.

I think what you've said is going to offend a lot of red haired people and you need to watch the way you have worded your question. That's really out of order for you to say "ugly" skin. People have every right to report this sort of question for abuse.

Although I'm blonde myself, I think red hair is totally stunning and as for the fair skin, you should know that this autumn, pale and interesting is what it's about. The tan is over so redheads will rule this season. I'd be very interested to see if your skin is perfect but then if it was, surely you wouldn't be bothered about anyone else's.

The largest concentration of Celtic coloring (ginger or red hair with pale, freckled skin) is in Ireland first then the North of Sweden.
So, in the UK there should be more than a few around and visible; even in your street!

Actually red heads have the best skin, as they don't go out and tan, so their skin stays youthful. And I've seen some gorgeous red headed males, like that Sean from Eastenders.........are you just a little jealous maybe. YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT ; )

Ever thought that TV and Movie Producers and Directors have exceptionally good taste, and that maybe it`s your opinion that`s in the minority. Yes, you probably are colour prejudiced, and it sounds as if you`re one of those people who think they are always right (in their minds). I personally like redheads/ginger girls. I find them more attractive than super-tanned women. I love pale skinned girls and the red hair compliments it well.

(You haven't seen them because they only come out at night, as the sun burns them ;-P)

But you're right about films, they do have a token redhead, token black person (Not being racist, but they really do), token ugly person, token attractive person etc etc

It's something to do with their genetics. Most people who are born with ginger hair also have pale skin and the reason they get so many freckles is because their body has trouble producing malanoma (or however you spell it) which helps protect from the sun and creates a tan

I really don't know where you live. I see lots of people with red hair in Edinburgh. My wife's got red hair and her skin's better than that of some people without red hair.
