He broke up with me after only 1 month of dating. A week ago he gave me a bracelet that was worth around 6-10 dollars. I don't want to possess anything that reminds me of him. I don't want to throw it away because he was a nice guy. I don't even want a friend or a family member to wear it. Would it be weird to give it back to him?

Its not weird at all if you return his gift. Just tell him that it din't worked out and therefore u don't want that thing to be with u. Tell him that it just reminds u of the incidence and upsets u. As u told he is a good guy he will understand and will take it.

So you dont want it but you dont want anyone else to have it? Umm I think its pointless to give something back that cost $6-$10. I mean, thats like lunch money. If it was only one month - donate it to the good will or something. You are over- if you say you want to see him to give him back a $6 gift then he will more then likely think you are just looking for a reason to see him again.

Giving back the hurt will hurt.Keep the bracelet in a place where u wont come across eg. in a safety box or locker.

You don't want to keep it, you don't want to throw it away, and you don't want anybody to wear it............
You don't want to keep it because it reminds you of this relationship that didn't last long as you thought it will...
you don't want to throw it because he was a nice guy and you might be still in love with him.....
And you don't want anybody to wear it because it was a memory between you and him......
ask yourself if you want to get stuck in the past, be in love with him while he's moving on with his life....... or do you want to move on and do happy stuff...... then you'll know what to do with it... Good luck...

Examine your reasons. Do you want to give it back to him because it would give you another chance to talk to him? Why not just give it to Goodwill? It will give someone pleasure.

you should give it to the charity shops and they could sell it on. that way he doesnt know what youve done with it and you dont have to see it again.
