There's no single best digital camera. What's best for you depends on how you want to use the camera.

Read the reviews at Digital Photography Review, then check the prices at a shopping site like Yahoo! Shopping. Look for used cameras on craigslist.org, if you're in or near a city.

i know the perfect camera for you. it has 6 megapixles, a huge 3" lcd screen, is extremely thin, and is very fast even in indoor/low light situations, and the camera is the canon sd630. i promise you wont be dissapointed.

the kodak ones are cheap and good...

the digital single lens cameras(d-slr) are relly good and really expensive...

or a digital elph or a cybersot.. those are easy to use... it just depends on what you are going to use it for... are you going to make 4x6's or something that you'd make into an 8x10... it just depends... that's all... do some research like on pcmag.com or cnet or something
