Anybody who does bad things in the name of Christianity is immediately described here on R&S as 'not Christian'. Anybody who does bad things in the name of Islam is immediately considered a representative for all Muslims.
The irony is blinding me...

They are a christian group or at least they claim to be. How do I know that.......Well because I have had several members in the KKK tell me that or me hear them say that. They had a rally like 6 or so years back here and was yelling that stuff out and then hid behind the offices and didn't say nothing and just stood there when people was beating them and throwing things at them and spitting on them. The KKK members suck!

It doesn't matter what the reference says. The kkk doesn't represent what Christianity is all about and you know this! The kkk is more like muslim terrorists who think and are still thinking that the white race is superior and that they are doing God a great service. They don't care about God or God's people because they are demonic and mentally unstable like hitler was.
White Christians suppose to love their fellowman regardless of race, culture and origin especially when they say that they follow God's word period. If they do differently then they are not of GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL! Plain and Simple!

All the beliefs of the KKK were supported by bible quotes. The KKK is white supremacist AND staunchly christian.
They represent an extremist sect of christianity, but they are just as much a sect as catholics, presbyterians or baptists.
The book Freakanomics has a great piece on the klan, and how they were beaten with sarcasm....that's right. Sounds like a Monty Python sketch, but it is history.

Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is the name of a number of past and present fraternal organizations in the United States that have advocated white supremacy, anti-Semitism, racism, anti-Catholicism, homophobia, and nativism. These organizations have often used terrorism, violence and acts of intimidation such as cross burning to oppress African Americans and others.

I know that you can't believe everything you read and that you don't want to believe me because you don't want to be counted among the others who are wrong when they say it was a christian group. So that is ok, go read the Bible then and see what God tells Christians to do, or better yet just fly through the decalogue and stop at Thou shalt not kill and maybe you will realize the truth then.

The are a Christian group. There are lots of people on YA that spout off about the Klan that don't know the first thing except what they've heard from Richard Pryor and other "experts" like him. They've never seen a Klansman, never read anything by them and still would violate their right to speak freely. It seems to me that NAACP is more of a threat .

They believed in Jesus as their savior. Read from the Holy Bible, and held 90% of the same beliefs. 'nuff said.
