Since our entire city is one big tourist attraction, I'm afraid not!!
You fail to include what you consider "jib-jab". But I have lived here my entire life (50 years) and my only regret was that I never went to see the world trade center. I took it for granted that it would be there when I was ready to go.

Do yourself a favor. Go see the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, Little Italy, Ellis Island, the Intrepid Air & Space Museum, Radio City Music Hall or a Circle Line Tour around the City. And heaven forbid you miss Broadway!

For a unique food experience eat at the Jekyll & Hyde Club, Mars 2112, the Stardust Diner or even Katz' Deli (ask Sally where she met Harry!).

Go to a comedy club--Dangerfield's, The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory are all in NYC.

Go see a tv show taping--Regis & Kelly, David Letterman--need I say more?

Just come and have a good time. Goodness knows there's nothing wrong with being a tourist. Only with being a tourist who sees nothing in an effort not to LOOK touristy!!!
