However, the answer is yes. The woman always has the choice and the choice is to leave. If you choose to murder him (other than in self defence) then they deserve to go to jail.

She had two choices:
(1) Seek help for instance the police so they can arrest the abusive husband in a non-violent way, or
(2) Do it the cold way by murding the abusive husband, thus should suffer the consenquence.
Some people want to live in a place where there is no violence involve but... some people just want to do it their own way.

i think murdering an abusive spouse should be considered mitigating circumstances but the law is the law and if it is altered to fit,so to speak,what then,,they are there to protect but i do sympathise with people who are continually abused and snap,but killing is wrong.

i think so if the husband is abusive she should leave he may beat her but she is still alive!!
