If you think it's ok, who cares what everyone else thinks? I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

The age gap is not a problem. The only thing to be considered are the actual ages of the people. My dad is 75, his lady 53. They met when they were 28 and 50. Huge age gap, but they both are very happy. But it shouldn't have happened 20 years earlier when my dad was 30 and his lady uhm .... 8. The actual ages define whether there is a problem or not.

It depends on how far apart is the age gap. If it is 5-10 years, then it won't be much of an issue. However, if it is more than 10 years junior or senior than you are, then you run the risk of having generational issues coming in play.

Generally no , but depends on the age gap - if it is more than twenty years then it might constitute a problem in the old ages of the partners.;

Depending on the age gap. To me, age is just a number. However if we are talking a teenager and a adult, then yes there is a big problem.

I am 18 and my boyfriend is 31 and in our situation the age gap is a big difference but not in a normal sense. The thing is he is very immature and I am very mature. He's not stable at all finacially and it presents a problem sometimes because here I am established in life and it frustrates him to know my life is just beginning and I have so much to offer while his life is running short and he has so much to obtain.

not normally unless you are like under 18 and he is 30 or older.lol i was 31 and i dated a man who was 50. its not bad if the man that's 50 doesn't act or look his age. sometimes if the women is older then she may get worried that the man will want a younger women. i guess it just depends on how mature the couple is and how opened minded they are. good luck.

The age gap matters if they don't know how to understand each other. However, it really doesnt not matter if both are open minded and they are willing to accept whatever issues they have.

As long as both are adults then no. My bf is 17 years older than me, and it is the best relationship I have ever had. I have never felt more loved and appreciated. It really depends on the people involved. We have a lot of the same interests and are able to talk about everything. He doesn't act or look 17 years older either.

That depends on the ages, the difference in age and the maturity level of both persons.
