Yes.
I once saw a cat that had been ran over (my neighbours cat actually), it had been laying on the side of the road for hours and was paralysed after it happened and had to be put to sleep, it's sister cat had alerted my neighbours and cried for days and wouldn't eat. I hate when people run over animals, and don't even pull over their car and see how they can help it. On a highway there is no stopping off course, but when you live on a quiet country road? People can be so insensitive about animals!

Absolutely, and my heart usually sinks into my stomach! You are talking to someone who has stopped on the side of the road to cover a dead puppy, and call the owners who were listed on the dog tag. Someone or some mommy cat loved and missed that little baby kitten. Of course! Any feeling person would get sad. I spent half a day choking back tears after I saw a fawn hit as it tried to follow its mom across a highway. It was the most awful thing I ever saw!
PET OWNERS! Don't leave your pets unsupervised outside your yard and be an irresponsible pet owner! I can't stand it! It isn't fair to your pet, who doesn't know the rules of the road! You SHOULD feel guilty if you leave your pets out unsupervised, as it is your fault completely if they get hit!

Yes that would well make me sad. I was in lake district once and there was a load of rabbits that had been run over and i was practically crying!!
I have a little kitten and so it makes me sad, esp, that you have to stop and report it if it's a dog, why is a cat different? It's still someones pet

I have lost many cats to the traffic on the main road not far from our house and have broken my heart over each and every one. So when I see a cat lying at the side of the road, I can't help but feel upset for the person whose baby won't be home in time for supper.
If anyone ever accidentally hits a cat, rather than just leaving at the side of the road, it would be appreciated by the owner if you made an attempt to find out where it lived and informed the owner in person. Two of my cats, Leo (a handsome dark tabby) and Spikey (a fuzzball of grey and white) simply disappeared. I have searched everywhere, sent out flyers and knocked on doors but to no avail. They have never turned up and it is awful not knowing what their fate has been. Have they shot, run over, stolen, what??
It is horrid to find your cat by the side of the road but at least you know what has happened to him/her and can grieve for them.

A kitten that was hanging around my house, was dead on the side walk just yesturday. I called animal control to come dispose of the body, but there is still blood stains on the sidewalk. It's very sad, I think someone dropped it off in my neighborhood, because they didn't want it. DON'T DO THAT PEOPLE! If you have kittens that you don't want, take them to a grocery store ot put out a free ad in the paper (you can do this for free, check publications in your area).

Aww....
I feel sad when I see any animal on the street. But saddest thing I ever saw was a rabbit who was still alive and desperately trying to get out of the street, but unable to get away because his back legs were run over. I felt his pain and started crying in the car.

Trains do no longer velocity, expensive. they are so heavily monitored that rushing isn't an decision. Your concept is incorrect. Animals are to no longer clever around trains. Trains in my section bypass up and down the factors of a river valley and are velocity constrained to twenty-5-35 MPH and the tracks occurring and springing up out of the valley looks like the floor of a butcher save. There are gutted animals everywhere. And that is after extensive use of the trains bell and horn too. every person that lives close to the tracks with animals could be arranged to lose a minimum of one in all them to a prepare.

Yes I would feel sad if I saw a kitten that had been run over, and its owners mustn't even care about it to just leave it on the road.

Yes. I get teary.
The worst was when I found that my beautiful ginger cat Morgan had been hit. I'm still not over it and it's been a year. I made him a special rock garden and planted all the flowers he used to walk around smelling.
I go and talk to him when I feel upset.
I miss that cat soooo much.

Of course it would make me sad, I love animals and can't bear to see them been hurt or been killed, I am not too fond of cats to tell you the truth but I certainly would not want to see one been hurt or even dead at the side of the road, its very sad and someone must have loved that poor cat and there heart will be broken.
