I will say this each branch of service offers something for everyone who has a desire to serve the country depends on what you want as an individual. I served 20 years U S Army most of my time was with airborne infantry the 82nd Airborne be any where in the world within 18 hours . There is not a finer fighting division anywhere best soldiers in the world you want a challenge you want to be one of the best.........Join a branch that will suit you I personally think they are all needed and all offer something unique good luck

I don't think there is a Best Branch. Most think, Air Force has the brains, you damn near need a college degree to get in, we'll actually just graduate high school. No GED allowed.
Navy, dunno much about it, I lot that I have met don't like that they were stuck on a ship A Lot!
Army, well all you need is an 8th grade reading level. The they have muscle yes, and for the most part, smart in war, but not back home, all they care about is numbers and not families.
Marines----Jarheads---yes they are crazy, but have the biggest balls I've ever seen. Sometimes crazy turns stupid though.. I've never met a Marine that I thought wasn't a little nutty. They always go first.

It all depends on who you ask, remember these are my opinions, but I'd say GO ARMY!

Each serves it's own kind of important need. Even the National Guard.

Often it is the Marine Corps and the Air force that are considered the more desireable branches to get in. I'd say the Coast Guard is highly demanding and impressive too though.

Personally i'd say the Air Force and Army. No offense to the other branches because the US Military is a team, but i've noticed that there are more skills you can acquire in the USAF and US Army for the outside world.

My answer is very biased, as I served in the USAF, which of course is the best.

However, in these days when the services are co-operating more than ever they have become closer in many ways. Overall, based on morale, duty assignment, amenities on bases, housing, attaining rank, and fairness in promotion the USAF far exceeds the other branches.

Another consideration is there are many more technical courses in the USAF that you can parlay into a good paying career as a civilian.

Depends on your criteria for deciding what "best" is. I'm retired USMC so I would say the Marine Corps. If you want to kill MIGS, then I'd ay Air Force.
We have the best looking uniforms and overall, kick the most A**. When it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight, call the USMC.

There is no 'best branch.' They are all a team and need to think in that manner for total victory.

I'll tell you what a buddy of mine told me once. He was in the Marines for 4 years. He loved it. He got out, stayed out about a year, worked a couple of unfulfilling jobs, and decided he was going to reup into the Army. I asked him why he wasn't going back into the Marines, and he said, "Well, I love the Marines, but knowing a hundred different ways to kill a man just isn't helping me on any of my job interviews." He went on to reiterate that he loved his time in the Corps, but what he learned there was totally battle-oriented type stuff. He went back into the Army because he could get in with higher rank, and because he could learn things that would benefit him after he got back out. They all have their benefits, and I'm proud of them all.

Unquestionably the Air Force. You can get a very good job and learn a worthy profession.
