Good advice about getting an attorney..there is a disability act that I am sure has been violated by your employer....as far as your bills for the accident, a personal injury attorney might be able to help you get out of that, i am not sure..but there also might be a victims rights attorney that could help you get some funding from the government...Very sorry about your stroke of bad luck but keep praying and keep the faith

Inay69 is right about Workman's comp. If you are injured for any reason while working, the company's work comp insurance has to cover your medical bills and give you a portion of your wage until your recovery is complete. You may have reached Maximum Medical Improvement and it was decided that you were no longer able to do the job you were in, however it would be the company's responsibility to train you in another job in the company. Once you have reached M.M.I. if you can no longer work at that company, a settlement should be reached. Your company's work comp are obligated to pay your med bills, give you a case number, and supply you with an attorney at no cost to you for the purpose of the legal understanding on your behalf. There are many job injury litigators that supporting the facts you have laid out would take your case and win a settlement for you.
As for you personally at this point, you have every reason to be bitter and irritable, but try to be careful of taking it out on those who are trying to help you. The only thing worse than what you are going through now is to turn everyone away from you and have to do it alone. Accept and cherish the love and support of the people trying to help you keep your chin up.
I would also suggest getting ahold of the labor board, occasionally they will provide you with a free attorney. Alos in any place of employment it is a federal law to post a information sheet/placard about employee rights in all situations. You can also view this at an un-employment agency or doctors office, it has many useful toll free #'s you can contact for help.

I extend to you my sympathies for all you have suffered. I have also suffered some difficult things. The only way I have been able to survive is to turn to God who has helped and taught me how to live even in the midst of pain.
You may not be able to understand or accept what I am about to write, but I hope you will tuck it away somewhere and remember someday that some one cared enough to tell you the truth.
Resentment and anger damages your own heart and does nothing to help you or correct your circumstances. If you can find it in your heart to forgive those who have wronged you, even if they are not sorry, it will help free you to see and receive new possibilities. If you have difficulty with forgiving, you could talk to a minister or some other godly person whom you trust and they should be able to help you.
Let me just say this by way of encouraging you: When I was in school, I was molested by my principal. A group of teachers called me in for a "chat" and I was not believed. The principal was said to have just been "fatherly". Resentment and bitterness built up and my life was greatly affected. I took some directions which I now regret. Many years later, I learned the importance of forgiving, not only those who had wronged me, but also myself for the wrong ways in which I dealt with the whole issue.
I share this in hopes that it may spare you from loosing years to bitterness and resentment as I did. God loves you and I know He will help you if you ask Him for His help. Bless you.

Every pile of garbage that gets dumped on our heads has a jewel hidden in it somewhere. I have a painful disability caused by another kind of accident. What I've learned from the pain is worth going through the pain.
I've had to learn not to resist pain. Resisting pain focuses my attention on it, which makes it more painful. The less pain I suffer, the more energy I have and the more I can see my true options. I have to choose to either suffer or make it better
Being able to see choices and focus energy on them is how I choose. If I make the most of each moment, the moment keeps improving. This is what I've learned from pain.
Learn what you can from the pain, and use it to create your life as your masterpiece.
Very best wishes to you.

first of all didnt you ever consult a attorney after you got fired? because i cant imagine a lawyer telling you that you couldnt have sued your employer. you were hurt while on the job you should have been paid workmans comp and they are responsable for your medical bills. i realize i am no attorney but ive heard enough to no you need to contact a lawyer. good luck to you and i hope things will get better for you.

Sorry about all this mess. Have you tried contacting a lawyer to help you with ways to recover the monies and to fight your dismissal?
I wish you good luck and hope you go get them. It is just to easy to sit in a corner and feel sorry. Take action!
