you would need quite an excess of energy but if you had it, it would have to be converted from DC toAC a process which involves some losses in the form of heat. then the 60 cycle AC would have to be phase locked to the supply grid and the voltage would have to exceed the supply grid voltage by a good amount. if these criteria are met the excess energy would simply be placed in parallel to the grid on the user side of the meter and current would flow into the grid causing the meter to turn backwards, beleive it or not.
