It would take God coming down in my parking lot at college while I'm walking to class and telling me he exists. So I wouldn't believe, I would KNOW. Seriously, who the hell knows? No one knows if there's one God, two Gods, or no Gods at all. NO ONE KNOWS. I don't see how people can pretend to know such intimate details of the universe and our existence. In my mind, you're all faking and delusional---trying to grasp onto something to fill a void in your life (and answer all the questions science can't) with a big unknown, unproven "being." But hey, to each his own.
I'm agnostic more so than athiest...but I don't put much stock in religion. It's at the root of many of the world's evils...ironically. It really is. People fight as much over religion as they do over land and resources. It's not worth it. I don't need all the answers to the reason for my existance to be happy...I want the answers I can prove, hence why I'm a scientist. Everything else is wasted, because we won't know until we die anyways...or we might not even then.
By the way, so called "religious" people are some of the worst people to walk the face of this earth: violent, condescending, hypocritical, HATEFUL people--hateful and vindictive if you don't follow THEIR religion to the T. I'm sorry. I've got a brain and have no need for their supposed "words to live by." and foolish tenets. I don't NEED the 10 commandments or rules to tell me how to live. I can live my own life and do it better than any religious sheep out there. Coming to the conclusion that you should be a good person on your own, means much more...when you do it on your own, and NOT doing it to stay out of "hell."

Would you like your arm twisted in such a manner as you are attempting to do with others. If you believe in God great that is YOUR choice. However, that does not give you the right to try to make the choice for others. Last I checked, this was a free country. There are many of us who don't take the existence of deities to be a given. I myself think it is unprovable either way and no, your strong-arming will not convert me either.

evidence, and by evidence I don't mean "look, that person prayed and his prayers were answered." I'm talking of solid evidence that can be testable.
Oh, I will have it? Oh wow. How about I call bullshit on that until it happens? Your dumb religion has been predicting his return for 2000 years without ever happening. How about I just tell you "you will have your evidence that god doesn't exist, so just stop believing now."

For someone who believes in God, you sure are angry, are you sure that you will go to Heaven? Suppose that there is some sort of conclusible evidence that God exists, which I highly doubt, that doesn't mean that I have to believe in it.

Lake of fires? They have that in buddhism. I don't recall the bible said if you are not a believer then you go to hell. It is frightening to have people like you out there because according to you all of those good but uneducated people who have no religious rearing will be destined to hell.

This kind of so-called 'question' disgusts me. I am disgusted by stupidity, willful ignorance and self delusion... which pretty much sums up the Abrahamic death cults of desert monotheism (Judaism, Christianity, Islam).
It disgusts me to know that three-quarters of the population of the USA is infected with some sort of insidious mental virus that leads them to the insane certainty that the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a bunch of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders represent some kind of cosmic 'TRUTH' about fundamental aspects of existence and reality.
It disgusts me to know that so many people dwell in a delusional reality (per Genesis) in which a 6,000 year-old Earth is seperated from a 6,000 year-old Heaven by a solid 'firmament' structure (the sky).
I am disgusted by the fact that these people believe that they inhabit a magical universe, which they share with talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys, a shepherd staff that turns into an asp, demons chased out of people and into pigs, friendly spirits, evil spirits, walking on water, multiplying loaves and fishes, food falling from the sky, conception by a ghost, people raised from the dead, the sun stopping in its tracks, parting seas, people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky), world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain, creating people from a dust bunny and a rib, a magical tree of knowledge, god speaking from a burning bush... and ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker.
In a sane world, anybody running around spouting ANY of that crap, would be locked up in the State Farm for the Funny. Apparently, though, mass insanity seems to convey some sort of free pass for the loony.
It disgusts me to know that in our society, irrational, deluded people who ACTUALLY BELIEVE such nonsense is TRUE are permitted to vote, hold public office, procreate, and shape the minds trusting, vulnerable children.
It disgusts me to know that these same people think that there is something wrong with those who DON'T believe all of this ridiculous crap.
Get a grip.
