get a half inch trimmed off every month. it will make your hair a lot healthier and grow faster. use Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner, its really great. Dont brush your hair when it is wet. Comb it carefully, starting with the ends to get out knots, then work your way up.

I would probably go to a professional hairstylist that you trust to see what can be done.
I had a similar problem with a hairstylist. My hair was to the middle of my back and by the time all the permed hair broke off it was about shoulder length. I would lose handfuls every time I brushed. I finally went to this one hairdresser and she gave me this conditioner(sorry I forgot the name of it) and it actually stopped my hair from breaking any more.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

first you haveto cut your hair short to get rid off all damaged hair second you haveto start doing deep conditioning your hair the best deep conditioner is mayonaze .don't do any chemical on your hair and don't use straight hot air like blow dry or curling iron or flat iron because hot makes damged hair dry and brittle.
