Any idea if Sun Express' flight from Izimir to Athens is functional? The web site has not been updated I think.

In November, Istanbul is chilly and sometimes rainy. You can fly to Izmir on Onur Air (go to Road Runner Travel in Sultanahmet) for $65 to $80. Take a bus to Cesme and a ferry to Chios then overnight ferry to Athens. Or go to Kusadasi then Samos then Athens

North parts of Turkey is rainy and snowy in the beginning of Nov like the other European countries. If u dont like rain and snow, u would visit South, especially Marmaris. The weather in Marmaris is not cold and not snowy and you would find very cheap rooms and meals there in winter.

I dont know about flight from Istanbul to Athens but from Izmir its cheap everytime.

Good luck...

the south of turkey is warm in november in day time but cold at night with some rainy days but everywhere else its rainy and quite cold. if you go to a travel agency in istanbul they should be able to find you a flight from there to athens. if you wanna book before hand try www.turkishairlines.com.
