Who told you to feed a baby in the middle of the night?

At night, our bodies are resting and repairing from the days' activities. Our digestion has pretty much shut down.

I breastfed my daughter and she slept in the bed with me. She never woke up at night. I'm not sure why.

I started her on food when she was 5 or 6 months old. Only steamed and/or mashed fruits and veggies.

I'd say if the cereal gets stuck in the bottle, then it's not made to go in the bottle.

Try buying a different brand of rice cereal, I put it in my babies bottles and they never had any problems drinking it. Maybe you are putting too much cereal in the bottles if it is clumping up, and you have to shake the bottle really well after you put the cereal in it to mix it around, but remember, the rice cereal is kinda like oatmeal, it thickens more the longer it sits, so if you are putting too much in, that could be the problem, or maybe the hole in the nipple is too small, you can widen it just a fraction with a clean needle. And if that doesn't work I would try a different brand of the cereal. I was also told that there is a type of 'feeding bottlle' I guess it is pretty much like a regular bottle only smaller, and it is specially made to put things like cereal in.

Share your question with her doctor and with other females you trust. From there you can make a logical decision based on what your baby needs. Adding cereal is one answer many people give. It also adds a lot of bulk to your baby. Have you tried adding an extra feeding during the day to see if that helps? Maybe she will be ready for spoon fed cereal in one or two months.

the cereal in the milk is fine. You probably will have to use the nipples that have an X opening. 8 years ago they were orange, don't know what they are now. You can also put some baby food fruit in the bottle to make a smoothie.

You could try enfamil AR it has rice already mixed in or switch to a faster flow nipple witch won't clog as easy.
