I posted earlier that I am 35 weeks pregnant, and just had some questions. I am having some pains at the bottom of my belly (where the ovaries are and down more) Its actually starting to get worse, I know about braxton Hicks and I have had plenty of them and this is diff. As I said I am going to the doc. tomorrow but was wondering if I should be concerned because its getting stronger. Also, I was wondering can you leak without loosing your mucus plug yet? or do you have to lose that before anything can happen? Sorry Im a first time mom and never experienced these things before. I have had to go to the hospital 3 times so far and have med. to stop my contractions. However last checkup 2 weeks ago they said that I was still closed, high, and thick. So any advice on the achiness or anyone experienced this. Thanks for all your help!

You can start having pain down there around this time that seems more than just braxton hicks. I was 2cm 80effc and -1, that is first stage of labor and I was like that for weeks before I went into real labor. They pain is most likely your pelvic bones making room for your baby to come down, your body is doing something it has never done and its painful the first time around. I just had my first baby 4 months ago so its pretty fresh in my mind. Yes you can leak fluids, but its normal. My water didn't break and I barely lost any of the mucus plug when I went into real labor. I was in pain for so many weeks I didn't even know I was in labor, got to the hospital and they said I was 4 to 5 cm, 90 effc. and +2, and this was at 38 wks. So thats just a little of what I went through.

If the pains get closer together, in addition to being stronger, give the doc a call (he's used to it, lol). As for the mucous plug, many women don't even know they have lost it. Sometimes it comes out just a little bit at a time. I always started losing mine a month to a month and a half before the due date.

my water broke completely at 27 weeks with my one daughter, and i never saw plug. so yes you can leak without losing plug. as for the pains , i really have no idea, i guess you should let your doctor diagnose those tomorrow. if you think you are leaking at all tho, you really should go to an ER tonight.

i would suggest to time the pains, it could be because the baby is pushing down on your cervix, if your back starts hurting alot and your stomach hurts and you are leaking I would suggestyou go to the ER
