I love to cycle and I ride between 24-34 miles about 3 x a week. Halfway through the ride, though, I sit by the lake or by a creek and spend about an hour and a half or so just to relax and unwind. I don't know what is the best bicycle brand. I'm not an expert on these things. But I love my Trek.

Well im not exactly a "cyclist" but I love what I do! (Racing BMX) I can give you the best brand for my sport. Standard! They are by far the best because they are the lightest and strongest 4130 Chromoly frames you can buy. They may cost a little more but are 100% worth the money. As for the most affordable. You can race on any bmx bike just as long as it meets NBL or ABA standards. Now as for how much. I am on my bike 15-20 hours a week as long as my work permits some its a little less but thats about average. I hope you have a great day as well.

i live in southern CT and i ride at least an hour a day, everyday, about 10 miles. cycling is my passion. i do XC racing with my Schwinn that i bought for $200. now its a $2000 race machine. the most affordable brands to do dedicated cycling are Trek, mongoose, and Ironhorse (for MTB anyway) Trek makes descent road bikes for around $600. for MTB i would say the best brand is Specialized cuz i absolutely love the S-works lineup. their best bike costs $7000+. im not to experienced in the realm of roadies, but i am currently saving for a Trek road bike.

well it all depend on ur budget and also wat type of bike that u want.Ok if ur a road type of cyclist in other ords, those long distance ones, then u should get a road bike because it is faster and lighter than mountain bike.As for a road bike, the good ones can be very expensive. Also it is not only the brands are important but the parts are to me the most importants.Such as the fork, crank, gear types..i am now using Giant OCR 3..at shop now selling at $1.1.there are even better ones such as Cervelo that cost around $5k.so it will have to depend on ur budget and what types of parts u want..I loves cycling...

Go to the bike shop, see what they have in your price range. If this is your first bike in a while you want to read up on it.
Sounds like you want to be serious about it, it's a great hobby for me.
If you really want to get started you need to spend $475 minumum. $325 for the bike and $75 each for a helmet and padded bike shorts.

I love to cycle too.
The best brand for me is Trek, it´s affordable and it is really easy to get spare parts, contrary to many other expensive foreign brands.
Have Fun
