My female cat is about 5months old and never sprayed and it has been missing for 11 days! I posted up flyers on the gates of my gated neighborhood. I also checked the shelters! Nothing! I don't know what else to do. Do I just wait and see if someone calls? I'm extremely sad. :[

One other source you might want to check is the vets within a ten mile area. There is such a thing as the "good samaritan act" whereby vets, clinics, & shelters agree to take in any strays needing medical attention with the understanding that the animal will not be given back to the person turning it in. That way, more people who see an injured or obviously lost animal feels like they can take it to get help without it costing them anything. So that could be what happened with your cat. At least, it's another source to check out. And keep calling the shelters back, because they don't usually have the time to call pet owners back. Also, as she is a prime age to be coming into season for the first time, that could be why she's been gone so long. Don't give up hope yet!

Most outdoor cats die within their first 2 years, so this is normal. Your cat was probably run over by a motor vehicle. In most localities, there is no requirement for the driver to find the owner of the dead cat to notify them of its demise.

If you ever get a pet again and want to keep it for more than two years, then make it an indoor only cat.

You and I are in the same boat. My dog is missing(Rottweiler). I am so sorry that your kitty is missing. You are doing all of the right things. If she does come back, she may come back pregnant. Better she come back pregnant than not come back at all. Cats are more likely to come back than a dog, in my experience. The waiting sucks. I love both my cat(18 years old)and my dog. Pets are wonderful. I told my mom, (She is not for pets in the house) She doesn't even understand why I want a pet in the house.

Awww...I have 3 kitties so I know how sad you must be with yours missing. At this point, you've done pretty much all you can do and more. All you can do is wait and hope. I really do hope she comes back to you though. You must be going through hell worrying =( Is she an outdoor cat or did she get out?

My cat was missing for 15 days and was found about 12 miles away.

Just keep praying for her safe return. Don't be surprised though if she's got a belly full when she gets back.

Once upon a time we had a cat, we lost it much faraway from home.
He had habit to sit on edge behind the window and then we open the window he could came inside.after we lost him my mother got sad and always she expected to see him behind the window again.
........Surprisingly he came back after one month.he sat behind window. think how he made us happy.I hope your cat will come back because you expect her too.
