I know that he is a grown man and all but is that accectable...would it have been better if he had not called at all....is that a sign of disrespect? Then he said "Darling I'm a little drunk right now can I just give you a call tomorrow." So what are your opnions on the situation...

Let it go.

A. You said that he's been winning. A winning athlete is surrounded by celebrations in his honor- he's gonna drink something!

B. He's an athlete on tour. Be happy that he's only drinking a little, he should get credit for deflecting all of the adoring ladies that want to be with an athlete (more so with a 'winning' athlete).

C. Let him blow off steam. If you keep the leash too tight, he's going to need to rebel just to keep from suffocating. Celebrate with him and for him. Let him feel the love when he calls and he won't think about anything other than placing the next call.

Good luck and congratulations.

He called you in the middle of having a good time, when it's so easy to forget everything else. But he called you. Shows how much he cares for you.

You on the other hand can only see him for a drunk but not for the love he has for you. Sigh... do you really love him or are you just trying to make him into an ideal man to your fancy?

If you haven't discussed your feelings on alcohol with him, then you really should not hold it against him too much. I doubt he was doing anything but calling you because he wanted to talk to you because he missed you. It's not a sign of disrespect - at very worst, it's poor judgment. If his being drunk disturbs you, I suggest you let him know (when he is sober).
If you have already discussed your feelings about alcohol with him, then I can understand being a little upset with him. but remember, it's still not disrespect, because his intentions were good.

Be happy he called. He was probably just celebrating a win or unwinding from a long day. Or maybe he just really misses you when he is away and the alcohol helps him cope with being lonely.

He is celebrating his win and wanted you to be there too. If he didn't love you and was not thinking about you, he wouldn't have called. Give him a break. He's probably stressing about the next match already.

OMG give the guy a break. At least he had the decency to call.

He's having a good time but still thought of you. Other girls would kill to have someone as attentive as that.

That all depends... If it's REALLY occasional, it's not that bad. But if he gets drunk more than what makes you comfortable and if it gets to be a pattern, then you should really be careful...

No need to worry. That's common. I think he should have felt like talking to you at that time. There is no matter of disrespect.

So, forget that and be happy.
