By and large, Christians are people who don't think for themselves very much and are ignorant as to how to live their lives on their own without someone or something to hold them up, give them strength. They want to be led and told what to do, either by a pastor or priest and by the bible.
They reject that which they don't understand or that which doesn't fit in their narrow, bible-guided world.
Because they are so scared, they try very hard to push their faith on anyone and everyone they see, so it will eliminate individuality and make everyone into a religion automaton. This will ease their anxiety with life.

Hello,
I must first say that I am a Christian and while my answer involves my Christian beliefs I will try to spare you "religious speak".
The primary reason that that we tend to talk to our non-Christian friends and others about The Lord is that it is our belief that any who don't know Jesus as their Savior will not be "saved" and would be condemed to hell.
Now rather than talk about it as heven or hell let's say that YOU are walking along a train track and I see a train coming that you don't see. What kind of jerk would I be if I didn't at least try to tell you about the train and that you should get off that track before you get hit and are gone forever.
Understand too that we know that the choice is up to you and are free to choose to know God or to do your own thing, but to anybody that suggests God is unjust for sending anybody to hell misses the point that YOU chose if you want to know him or not and there by choose heaven or hell for yourself on your own free will.
He has said that he is willing that none would perish and that all would know him and that anyone who calls upon the name of The Lord shall be saved so again, the choice is up to you and to everyone out there.
For the record I never said that Jesus loves you as you asked. I don't know any other reason that He would give his life for you, but I didn't say it.
(A little Christian sarcasm there ")
As for the judging/guilt trip question. The judging is usless and unnessesary if you don't even know Jesus as your Savior. Yes, The Bible is very clear about what is right and wrong, but if you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior then all the good deeds in the world would not get you into heaven since The Bible clearly says that there is no other name given under heaven whereby we must be saved.
In our politically correct world it seems that the "educated" way is to accept all beliefs as being good for each different person, but in the end one will prove to be the one and correct belief. I will bet my eternal life on the one that died for me willingly and was risen on the third day! Every scholar around must acknowledge the fact the the grave of Jesus is still empty!
I wish you well and hope to see you in the same group w/me on the only judgement day that counts.

You make me smile. I remember feeling EXACTLY like you. Look, it's not that Christians, most Christians, are belittling you. Christians have very clear instructions about NOT judging others. I think that there is such a Holy presence when you truly come to KNOW that Christ is and God is and we are so enthralled by the salvation, the revelation of love, that we tend to want everyone to share in it. It's a real turnoff, I know. Let me ask you: If you felt genuine peace, love, joy, security and KNEW that it was real and how to get it; wouldn't you be anxious to share it? It's a bit overwhelming at times and we are human. It's difficult to know just how to express it... but express it we must. I'm sorry for any negative feelings you gain from Christians. Again, true Spirit filled Christians would never denigrate or judge you. They would never cause you pain. They just want you to hear the good news!!!

It's hard to answer a question about Christianity without "ANYTHING INVOLVING THE CHRISTIANITY B/S".
Not all Christians are alike. It's not right to judge all Christians by some who have offended you. Many people sincerely believe in something and feel that it is important enough to share with everyone. This is true of other groups besides Christians.

Your question and comments do not make sense at all. You want answers from Christians and such but then you don't want them to reply with "anything involving the Christianity B/S." If you have guilty convictions because of the choices that you have made in ur life then you are the BLAME not anyone else.

Some hardcore christians I can believe doing that. I'm a christian though and I don't try to get everyone to believe what I do and not respect their decision. Most of my friends aren't catholic like me and I have some jewish and muslim friends but I respect their decisions. We learned in history about different religions also to make us more open to other ones and I think it's a good idea for anyone. You shouldn't let hardcore believers make you feel bad about your beliefs. It's encouraged for them to try to make people embrace their beliefs and accept them even if not as their own, but not to put blame and bad feelings on others for not converting or something. I totally understand you're complaints, no worries.

Christians are told to go out and tell people the Christian Jazz.
If you say ""lay off"" they are supposed to leave you alone.
If they always find something that makes you feel bad it must be because you are a real LOOSER and not living a very NORMAL and Clean life. Possible your choice and way of living is indeed PRETTY CRAPPY! That means that it really may not be GOOD ENOUGH in the society you and your friends live in.....(I do not know).
I prefer 10 points to 2 points--thanks.

seems like the few minority are not the majority. you are gonna have to hear some christian talk to hear an answer. God did give us our free will to decide on whatever we want he doesnt force us into anything. giving that he doesnt condemn you either. now knowing him is knowing the truth and the light and that way of knowing him is studying for yourself. and accepting Jesus as your lord and saviour that conviction is from God and condemnation is from man. they try to make you feel bad if you are not living to their standards knowing that no one man is perfect no one man is sin free. you have to know God for yourself. if you feel bad about anything that you do it isnt cause someone made you feel that way could be conviction on your behalf. people only do to you what you allow them to do so you cant blame the next man . over zealous some of us christians are and that scares some away from the kingdom of God. for you to be so upset about it you must have had an encounter yourself with God and if not try him for yourself and dont let anyone coherse you into anything different unless you try him you might like him and then notice that even those who have have issues. no one is perfect and he rains on the just and the unjust.

They want organization and deep down they want people to be good to one another. They want people to believe in God. BUT they want to scare people into being good or throw out rules and regulations to make you be good. The stupid thing is that they don't get that you can be a good person and believe in God, without using their ways. They have sort of been brainwashed into that way (Christian) of thinking and won't accept any other way. Their minds are closed and they don't think for their self or even try to research ideas. Because they have been scared into it their self. But they are secure in their rules and beliefs. One of the beliefs happens to be shoving their beliefs onto us. It seems like it is thrown out in a threatening way and that is wrong. But it is unacceptable to them for anyone to not think the same as them.

How many times must people ask these questions? ok you don't believe great good for you. but why do you say Christians Judge people of other faiths. but then you come here and Judge Christians. what's the difference? you are Just as Judgemental as anyone here. and I will NOT say I'm sorry for my Love for Jesus. you don't want to read it. then don't read it. simple as that
