Sinfull Pride. If something good happens to a person, then it happens because either they did it or they deserved it. It was "due" to them. Therefore, no need to thank or acknowledge the essistance of God. When something bad happens, they are too good a person for this to happen by random or their own action so therefore it must be a mischeivous god or perhaps a demon/devil that is to blame.

it's really the other way around...
Everyone showers God with praise when outcomes are good and blames the "devil" or the boogey man when the outcome is bad.
Here's my take on God. Maybe he or she doesn't give a crap. Why be so arrogant to think a supreme being actually gives a crap how your life goes? It seems relatively consistent. Good and bad people die. Bad people get away with stuff. Good people sometimes get punished with unfair outcomes.
It's all frickin random ... as it is.
You are an insignificant speck of matter in the whole universe of things. Honestly.
Get a grip on yourself. You got no one to blame except for your self.

My belief is quite simple. God doesn't alter events; God alters my attitude toward events. That is the only way I could accept a God given Auschwitz, 911, tsunamis and the like.

I'm with you 100% on this question.
In my opinion God is the creator of everything and everyone and in his infinite wisdom....he gave human beings "freedom of will" and "freedom of thought". Collectively, we are all responsible for crimes and accomplishments.
We choose too often to argue with one another, rather than accept each other with our differences. The more often people support one another and give helping hands, rather than judging each other.....the more good will come to each of us.
Eventually....who knows but maybe babies won't die and wars won't start?

People who ask questions or put God down because of their misery are clearly not familiar with the bible or whatnot. They need to find something to blame for their misery, and they also hear that God gives life..and takes it. Soo, in the end..they think that God did a specific something to hurt them more, when in reality..God doesn't want to hurt us.

I have never heard someone who doesn't believe in a god blame that god for things that are bad. The "Why doesn't god heal the amputee" is, I believe, a hypothetical question designed to make you think.
