How much is too much?

Its ok for me. Very nice. I like it. You cannot stop it from growing, right. You can ask your girlfriend also. Wish you all the best.
By the way tell you jokes, and it goes:

If I met a really nice guy who was hairy as a gorilla, it wouldn't matter. However, all things being equal, I prefer just a small amount.
I agree with Avid. If I can see your chest hair WHILE you have a shirt on, that's too much.

Chest hair represent that a man is really a man and the more hair the more of a man I would say.

Depends on personal preference. I like hair on a man's chest, legs and arms, the thicker the better. It feels so good against my bare skin. I draw the line at hirsuitism (i.e., growing up the back, etc.)

A little bit is okay, but definitely none on your back.
No hair is fine with me, but I don't mind a normal amount either... It sorta depends on the guy too.
Basically if your somewhere in the range of normal - don't worry about it, girls don't really care!
