Why do I constantly see Nazis/Adolf Hitler refereed to as atheists when they were Catholic?

I have rarely heard Hitler called an Atheist. Usually the Atheists loudly proclaim him to be Christian to further their campaign against that religion.

Hitler may not have been strictly an Atheist, but he was no Christian. He was baptized into the Catholic church as a child, but did not practice that faith either. Hitler was much more interested in the Norse gods and in various occult beliefs.

If you don't have unity with the Pope, you can call yourself Catholic, but you aren't one. Even though Pius didn't use excommunication directly against Hitler, Hitler was clearly in defiance of the Pope and it was clear that the Pope did not approve of the actions of Germany and Italy.

It's the Christian way of saying atheists have no morals. This is in ignorance of Adolf Hitler's quotes, in which he said he believed he was doing G-d's work by trying to eliminate the Jewish people. However, Hitler's (false) atheism doesn't somehow proove Christianity. I've also heard that they were believers in Neo-Germanic Paganism.

Any attempt to make Hitler out to be any one religion is bogus. His library collection was rather eclectic. He did not proclaim Christ or the Catholic church. He was not an atheist. Sorry, none of this will work. If anything he was occult.
