I've seen stuff on Ebay, but I'd like to hear from people like private detectives who have used programs to check backgrounds.

I used to work for a company that used Criminal411. It had three different services to choose from. One was a basic background search and you paid a flat rate monthly for unlimited inquires. There were two other optional services offered. One was a background/credit type check that used the individual's social security number, and there was also another service they provided, and I think it was a kind of skip-trace or something similar. The two opptional services were charged at a certain amount per use. I only used the optional services twice in 6 months, and they are relatively inexpensive. The basic, flat rate is also very affordable, and the people who run the company are VERY HELPFUL!

lol there is no software for that, what you see on ebay for $19.99 or $24.99 is piece of crap, lol there are government(police) websites that have access to databases like that, usually you have to pay for every search(from $9.99 to $19.99) and you need to know personal info about the person, like social security number, date of birth, first&last name, city of birth, everything else like Web Detective is crap, it's just a program with a web browser inside of it and links to free sites like that, but those sites are sh.it...so software like that is a legal scam
