Sorry i would like to clarrify as i was told. cubic inches = gallons. Thanks for the info. I am trying to figure out how many gallons my fish tank actually is. How would i calculate the area inside the tank to cubic inches?

The question is incorrect. Square inches can not be equivalent to the Gallons. It should be Cubic Inches to Gallons. Please clarify and I'll supply the information.

Well is it cubic inches that you want,

the answer is 231.

The formula would depend on measurements of your container, if it can hold a gallon... L x W x H

1 Cubic Inch = .0043 Gallon

A square inch is AREA
Gallon is VOLUME
Cubic Inch is VOLUME
