Some people lose weight, others gain. It depends on what kind of eater you are. I lose weight when I get stressed....that's positive stress for me! You could be gaining weight because it's a natural progression as you get older. So your apperance doesn't change but your bones get heavier and your body retains more water.

Yes! I'm living proof - I gained 15 lbs in the last year due to stress. Try yoga, it's a great stress reliever and increases you all-around good health. I think increased stress changes your body chemistry and slows your metabolism.

stress does lead to weight increase (although there are some exceptions). when u r stressed the sympathetic nervous system is stimuated. although u have to spend energy for ur "flight or fight" reaction (increase in respiration, heart rate, blood pressure, etc.), the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for stress reactions, slows the metabolism and digestion resulting to what u are experiencing lately... :)

in case you overexecise and drop extra pounds too quickly, then your physique has to break down muscular tissues and different physique tissues for potential, by way of fact it may no longer get adequate from nutrition. Then, as you have much less muscle to burn energy, once you eat a common quantity, then that is no longer burned off because it was once, yet is saved as fat. so which you earnings weight.
