I was visiting a man Friday afternoon. His five year old daughter, named Kimberly, came up to us carrying three small sea shells that she had found. They were not more than a half-inch across each. Anyway, she gave them to me, saying they were wishes and they were mine to use and they gave me three wishes. To say the least I was touched by this.
On the way home I started thinking about actually having three wishes that would come true. What would I ask for? Believe it or not this was not so easy to answer.
What would you personally ask if you had three wishes that would come true?

Wow, that's a tough question. If I wish for things for myself, I would feel selfish but if I wish for things for others, I would feel like I was forcing my will on someone else. That's too close to playing God and I don't need to flirt with hubris. And besides, what could I really ask for that God hasn't already granted?
Off the top of my head I would wish for:
1) an open mind all my life
2) an open heart all my life
3) a spirit of forgiveness all my life
Maybe I could wish for all three of those for others without feeling guilty. I gotta think about this some more...

I would only wish that such a nice little girl would not waste three beautiful shells on the likes of me. I have a firm belief that a five year old can make much better wishes then I.
Hails to the truth,

These are my three prayers, I firmly believe and act for them to become true under the guidance of God:
1. Man will learn to see his way to return to the One True God.
2. He will be guided to the united family of all mankind.
3. All will humbly, wisely, friendly cooperate with each other in building a new world of love, peace and progress for all.

That all disease on earth would be irradicated.
That people would put the good of the world before their own selfish wants and love each other like true Christians were supposed to do...without being Christian.
That there would be no more hunger and poverty.

1. No more hatred.
2. Equality of ability for all (ability...not outcome).
3. In violation of #2 (above), that I could play golf about 1/2 stroke better than Tiger Woods.
That's enough for me!

1. My best friend was still alive.
2. My daddy was still alive.
3. That I never injured my back and that I didn't live in pain every day.
I know #3 is selfish, but it is so difficult living in pain.

My first wish would be that I only wished for reasonable wishes.
My second wish would be that all my reasonable wishes came true.
No need for a third wish... lol
