Well, if you look to the bible, which is God's inspired word, you'll find the answers to your questions.
First you need to find out what happens to ppl that have died.
When someone dies, the bible says that they are conscious of nothing at all, like a deep sleep. (Ecclesiastes 9: 5, 10)
For example when Jesus' friend Lazarus died, and Jesus went to resurrect him, or give him life again, Jesus said that he was going to wake Lazarus from sleep. (John 11:11-14) If Lazarus had gone to heaven or another place Jesus would've made it clear.
So what hope is there for our dead loved ones? Can we see them again?
Yes, the bible answers that also at John 5: 28 ,29, this talks about the future when all those in memorial tombs will come out, mean they will be resurrected to life here on earth.
Also Acts 24:15 talks about how there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
So there is opportunity for you to see your son again, but how? Again the bible answers that at John 17:3- we must learn about the only true God and his son, Jesus Christ. This involves thoroughly studying the bible so as to build accurate knowledge. Then we can live forever on a paradise earth where we can once again see ones that we have lost in death. (Psalms 37: 10 ,11,29, Revelation 21:4)

P.S. While other ppl's answers are interesting, where's the proof behind them??
It's important to find out the truth about what the bible really teaches, not ppl's ideas or thoughts, but the only true God's thoughts.

P.S.S. Also, the bible talks about only a certain number, 144,000, going to heaven at Revelation Ch. 14. Those who God chose will rule as kings and priests in heaven w/God's son Jesus Christ.

Losing a son at any age is a hard thing to cope with, I feel your grief and I pray for you to gain strenght from God so as to bear this.

I have read all the answers given and was touched by the person known as: zionikmin. Take serval minutes and reread this answer for direction.

In the very Beginning, five or whenever billion years ago, when God created the First Earth Age we were known as the Stones of Fire. We had no gender and all of us were created the same age. This we know by the apparent age of the angels that visited us here on Earth.

We are told in the Bible that when we go to Heaven we will be like the angels. Not angels, but like the angels.

Right now, the baby that God allowed you to know is with God at this very moment. He is happy beyond measure. We can't imagine what it must be like to be in the very presense of God, and yet you son is there with Him now.

I don't believe that you son is conscience of you or anything or anyone on Earth. He is in Heaven,

If you are part of the Body of Christ you will be reunited with your son when you get to Heaven. He'll know you and you him, but you will both be the same age as you were both created at the same time. It sounds difficult but its not if you study the Word of God for truth.

Please be happy for him knowing that he is with God. Again, I pray for you as I type this answer and pray that God's Spirit decends upon you in comfort.><>

You will, dear one. Only the body dies-- temporarily-- but the spirit lives forever. Your child lives! And this will be but the shortest little wait before you are reunited. If you receive Y'shua (J-sus) as Lord, you will be in Heaven forever with those you love.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

I believe that in heaven we all all reach the ultimate purity and truth of happiness with God. So I would say that yes you will know him.

I have heard some people say that in heaven we will be overwelmed (in a good way) by the glory of God and other things won't matter to us. But that seems to discredit our experiences here on earth.

This is a hard question to answer. Most people don't know what happens when you get to heaven. If they did then they would know if they were going. ONLY GOD KNOWS THAT ANSWER. I guess you'll have to wait until you get to heaven if you're going.

I'm sorry to hear about your son.

Why Must Even Youths Die?

“WHY did my baby die?” the young mother sobbed, grief-stricken at the death of her only child. “He had so many years ahead, so much to live for.”Such parents are not alone in their sorrow. Their pain has been felt by many others. Usually it is a grief known only to a few close friends. At other times the world becomes aware of the loss.

The only book that truly explains this situation is the oldest book in existence, the Holy Bible. Its writers were inspired by God, and so what they wrote merits our interest. One of those inspired penmen wrote almost three thousand years ago: “The living are conscious that they will die.”—Eccl. 9:5.This same Bible writer who wrote, “For the living are conscious that they will die,” continued that very sentence with a statement that surprises many persons. He said: “But as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” Eccl. 9:5, 10.

This idea surprises persons who have been taught in their churches that the dead not only are conscious, but are consciously suffering punishments or enjoying rewards. Who has not heard the idea that the dead are suffering in a hellfire or purgatory or are enjoying the blessings of heaven? Yet God’s Word, the Bible, says the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.”
Verify this for yourself. Get your own copy of the Bible, and read these words in the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter nine, verses five and ten.

The Bible teaches that Jesus’ ransom sacrifice opened the way for a magnificent hope for mankind. By laying down his human life, Jesus was offering as a sacrifice the exact equivalent of what Adam had lost, perfect human life on earth. He paid a “ransom” for dying mankind. Now the prospect of eternal life was again open. Thus it was proper for the apostle Peter to call Jesus God’s “Chief Agent of life.” (Acts 3:15) It is by means of this One that God will raise the dead to life in a thrilling resurrection. Concerning this, the Christian apostle Paul said: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Acts 24:15.

Even now there are persons who are exercising faith in God’s Son, and they have a wonderful hope ahead of them, even as Jesus said: “God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
Many persons can quote that Bible passage, but few have thought about what it actually says. It does not say that Jesus gave his life that people might “become angels” or so that “all good people might go to heaven.” It says he did so that they might have “everlasting life.”

You may have prayed: “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matt. 6:10, Douay translation.Few persons have realized what a change it will make for that prayer to be answered, for God’s will to be done throughout the earth the way it is done in heaven. In fact, it will require that God replace this present system of things, with its wars, corruption and greed. In its place will be a new system that will assure the conditions of peace and life that God originally created in Eden.

Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.It is possible to benefit from Christ’s ransom, and to conform to God’s instructions. We can take a course of obedience that will permit us either to survive through the coming “great tribulation” or to be resurrected afterward, into a righteous and cleansed earth, now near at hand. What a blessing to be on hand when dead loved ones, perhaps your children, return from the dead! NO BABIES DO NOT GO TO "hell, or purgatory" THEY ARE ASLEEP WAITING FOR THE RESURRECTION .

Oh, god my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine anything more terrible than losing one's child. You will know him There's no doubt in my mind of that. One of the commonalities among those who've died, and been brought back is that a loved one is there to meet us. Almost all of them say that the person wants them to be happy here on earth, and not worry. I know it's tough for one in your case, but try and keep that in mind. He'll be there for you, but wants you to enjoy all there is to enjoy in life.

Your child is in heaven with God(for the Lord says the kingdom of heaven is theirs)...if you accept His son whom He sent to die for the worlds sins(yours and mine included) you will see and know your son...there is no question of that...the question is now do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior( I am praying for your child's sake that you do...for he is looking forward to seeing you again as much as you are him)...If you have not but would like to admit that you are a sinner(we all are) and ask Jesus to come into your life and save you...ask Him to be the Lord of you life and to direct your path into His righteousness...ask Him to set you free to walk in His glory and to help you along your path to healing for i feel you are still in pain from your loss(I understand that loosing your child is not easy and i pray for you in your grief)
Blessing to you and your family

Not only will you know him when you get to heaven, but he will know you. He knew you before he left you and he will be holding his arms out to you when you arrive and you will know him.

Sleep well, for he is with you throughout eternity, you will meet and kiss and go on together.
