Okay, no one said that college is a simple walk in the park. From what I read, you say that you are a senior??? Why in heavens name would you consider dropping out at a time like this????!!! Sweetie, u are almost at the finish line. Take a full load and get the heck out of school. Graduate with the degree, that's what you came for. Don't let the fools around you make u quit. I guarantee you that you will most likely never see them again. Stay focused on your own goals. I felt the same way about college my senior year, because I had it hard socially. I started second guessing myself. I prayed and asked God to give me the strength. My degree didn't give me too much success, which was why, I re-evaluated my life and now back in school pursuing nursing. Get yourself together, and graduate. You can do it. Stress is worth it, your prize is coming. Fight for it. You don't have to make all of these friends, you didn't come to college to make friends anyway, you came for the education, right??? I am rooting for you honey, stay in school, graduate and move on to bigger and better, your degree, whether you know it or not, will open more door and present to you more opportunities. Best wishes and I'm praying for your strength.

School drop outs were very common among poor families. Now Child labor is almost banned. In Tamil Nadu children were employed in Fire Works Units.Buses used to collect them from their villages early in the morning and drop them back late at night. The reason was that they found it difficult to get a square meal a day so they were sent to work by their own parents.Drop outs were due to this reason. Now Free Noon Meal scheme is working fine and children get free food and free education also. It was a change for the better. Now literacy level has gone up.School drop outs is the talk of the past. Drop outs are common in Y/A too.To-day one member has asked a question on these drop outs.I think it can be forcibly possible also. I do not know when I will become a drop out in Y/A. Many famous personalities in India are School/College Drop outs.

I am in College also, and I HATE IT!!!!! But, if you are getting good grades, that DOES count, and keep moving forward, especially since you are a Senior. You are almost done, FINISH school!!! You will be happy in the end. If you drop out, you WILL regret it!!!
I think the same thing, but this is our future! Do you really want to go to the ARMY? When instead you could have a great paying job, and you can come home to relax at the end of a hard days work!
I just keep telling myself that it'll be worth it in the end, no matter how hard or stressful it is now.

If you are a senior and have all your units, you might be able to work out a deal with your school. At my school, you could do your last 10 quarter units at any other University or College. If you can do some units at another schoool, be it a community college or university, that may be a great option. Being a Senior you're almost done, so dropping out would be a waste really. Think of it as Army bootcamp. Don't quit right before graduation. If you're pulling over a 3.0, I don't see any harm to finish this year with low grades as long as you graduate. At least that way you'll be able to enjoy some more of life without cramming. I hope this helps.

It's true, networking is very valuable. Grades are VERY important if you are going to grad school such as law school or med school etc. Also, depends on your major, but companies many times do ask for G.P.A. I interned with Morgan Stanley my junior year and they required G.P.A. as well as other great companies such as Yahoo! and Google. You are already this far, you're a Senior, finish it. Not many people get the opportunity and advantage to finish college or even go to college!! Don't care what other people on campus do, you'll be their boss someday.
Education is very important. I can tell you that I've learned so much from my universities unique undergraduate and major requirements. The decisions I make, the values of the university, and mine as well have really help me steer in the right direction.
You're very close bud! Finish school and make your parents proud. Also think of those that never had the opportunity to attend college either because of financial reasons, legal status, or who never had the suppport or resources to educate them about the benefits of college. Good luck on your decision!!

As a freshman I have the same feeling about joining the armed forces but you as a senior you just have one year to go and it would be a loss of three years you put up with people to let it go for nothing. I lost a semester because I thought I would get a job but at a place you will work without a degree you will realize that you can do better and we have that opportunity window open.
So just take one more year would be my advice though what ever you decide to do good luck .

Wow. I don't want to sound like some parent telling their kid what they want. BUT.. hear me out. You've gone this far, right? You can finish this and get a degree. Once you've graduated, you can see it as a goal that you have accomplished. Also, jobs may not care if you have that degree, but I bet you'll get paid more if you have a degree, no matter what degree. I know someone who works in a parts department at a car dealership. She works in parts and has a degree in Wildlife, BUT they promoted her before anyone else because she's the only one with a degree. I dropped out of college my Freshmen year and regret it. Get your degree and then join the military. Go in as an Officer and be bankin. Seriously, wherever you read it doesn't matter, disregard that. You've gone more than halfway.. finish it and feel good about yourself when you do.

You are a senior. Just suck it up and finish. I'm a senior in college also, and you can't even count the number of times I've wanted to quit. I don't have much job experience, I haven't networked, and I haven't really been involved in anything on campus, but I'm still going to finish. I'm sure I will still find a job somewhere, and I know you will too. Just relax!!!

Well what is your major? If it is a technical science like engineering, math, physics etc, than stay in. Even if its in a crappy discipline, having any degree is better tha none. Also your so close, why would you give that up?
