My ex just called me and lefted me a voicemail saying "hey I was just seeing how you were doing and if you were alright and everything well give me a call later, maybe tomorrow night. bye"
after he told me he had a new gf, txting messaging me about making out with some girl, and telling me that he hates me and to leave him alone... he's called me before but never has lefted a message or anything..(I've only answered one call from him since the break up and he wouldn't talk.)
he suddently wants to talk to me? uhmm what the hell is going on?
considering he says he hates me, says to leave him alone and everything that just doesn't seem right to me.
any ideas?

Sounds like he wants to deal with some issues with you but doesn't know how. But he is definitely reaching out for your attention. The question is, what do you want to see happen here?

I have been on your end of what others call a game. I have seen the best and worst in people and I still refuse to believe that people intentionally play games. It is more likely that he just doesn't know how to express something or how to handle something.

well sounds like hes playing games and he sounds like an asshole those are very mean things for him to say to someone he supposedly cared for at one time it is also abusive. My ex did that and he did have a girlfriend and i think he said that over the phone because his girlfriend was there and it made him loo more desire able and like he was some sort of catch. Its all games then when theirr alone they realize thei relationship isn't all that great and they wasn't to talk all nice to you. Then u call them and they assholes again its just to make her think that u still love him . I if were you i wouldn't bother to call him because you ll probably call when shes there and shell get jealous and hell be happy because it will make him feel desirable. I guarantee this is just his game, dint call him and hell wonder wtf and when his relationship with her is over and it will b over sooner if u ignore him because then she probably wont want him and hell have non one. Find someone nicer .

Save the messege too, since you may have a unbalanced person on your hands. Also if he does call again just make sure you are unavailable and no in person meetings for a long while.
He really seems a bit out there, sorry.

by him acting like it's no big deal to talk to you shows that he has know clue that he hurt your feelings. Or maybe he just doesn't care. His new girlfriend probably dumped him & he's just looking for rebound nookie! DO NOT CALL HIM BACK!

It helps his conscience. I bet he feels like he did you wrong and by checking up on you, he feels like he has atoned for whatever he felt like he f'd up. If you want to have the last laugh, tell him you're great or, even better, don't call him back.

He probably messed up with her new girlfriend and want you back, it is really up to you to pick up his call (if he call you again) and see what he is up to, be friendly. But the bottom line is that you don't call him if he doesn't call.
