If not, do you think that it is possible? I herd that alfa waves are just like radio waves but just harder to pick up.

There are machines that can read alpha waves, but they can not read your thoughts. I doubt that will be possible, at least in our life time

Well, the electric field generated by a human brain is very weak, and the information it carries is very messy. Although presumably if you had a machine sensitive enough, you could tell exactly what parts of the brain were active at any one time. However, you would STILL face the daunting problem of figuring out which areas stood for which thought processes. The end result is that it would require a machine we don't yet have and years spent decoding brain patterns, and in the end you'd only get a very basic idea of what the person was thinking about. Telepathy isn't THAT easy.
