Sorry to ask a question about a question, but what are you giving to your cat that you want to know how to go about doing it?

If it's pills, then all you can do is to carefully put it down the hatch so to speak. Cats usually are smart enough to eat around most foodstuffs you hide pills in. If it's liquid then use the side of the mouth and slowly insert the dropper/syringe on the side/cheek area, they usually open their mouths after you do that, then just squirt the stuff in. If you're talking about flea meds, then try to part the hair around the back above the shoulderblade area and do your best to put as much of the material on the skin as possible. Hopefully one of these answers your question.
