A Lexus is a Toyota. Good car, but not really prestigious. Mercedes are currently crap. I have one as do most my neighbors and we all have problems with the newer ones.
Had a BMW, NOW THAT'S A CAR! Test drive it and the other two then compare. You will be astounded at the difference.
My Mercedes is nice enough, but the BMW drives at 90 in the rain the same as it does at 40 on a sunny day.
I did not mean to imply that a Lexus is a glorified Toyota. Lexus IS a Toyota. It is made by Toyota.

As you often hear yes Lexus is a glorified Toyota. Just buy the Camry and save the $$ you were trying to save by considering the Lexus. Mercedes SUV's are ASSEMBLED outside Tuscalosa AL. PArts are Manufactured in Germany and ASSEMBLED here. Also note that includes all worldwide production of Mercedes SUV's. For North America most other models are assembeld in Germany. (aside form G Wagon in Austria, SLR in England etc....) Merc's drivability, safety, and variety can't be touched by any Japanese company.
