you need to drink more water. Contrary to popular belief, drinking more water will not make you retain it. Your body retains water because it is not getting enough as it is now, so it is the bodies insurance policy.

So, go and drink alot of water. You should be drinking about a gallon a day.

For what it's worth, I get very bloated if I eat bread, (or any gluten product at all!) You could try limiting bread and see what happens. I know it's not easy to give up wheat because there are wheat products in just about every pack and tin of processed food, but cutting down on bread would probably tell you if that's your problem or not. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Try cutting as much salt from your diet as possible, look for reduced salt products and don't add salt to your food. This should help as salt tends to dehydrate you and the water you drink to re-hydrate yourself is wasted working on the salt. So, skip the salt and drink more water as when you retain water, contrary to myth, you need to drink more not less.

The best way to do that is take a look at what you eat and drink, too much salt, not enough water, not enough fiber to cleanse your bowels out properly. Write it out for a few days while you are having this trouble.

I started retaining water right after I gave birth to my daughter. My midwife suggested horsetail tincture, watermelon, and a lot of water.

I'm not sure which worked. Maybe it was all.
