Dr Atkins Vita-Nutrient Solution discusses the use of DMG in autistic children. Magnesium and B6 have also been helpful in some cases (The Alternative Pharmacy). Balch's Prescription for Nutritional Healing discusses some other possible ways to help. My other references are painfully silent on this sad problem.
