I have a boyfriend that is 6yrs older then me. We been seeing each other for about 2months. My dad has met him but I told my dad we were just friends. Now i want to tell him that i am going out with him so i can see him more often but i dont no how to tell my dad. So plz help. need advice!

I do not know how old that you are?
but if you are under 18 I would NOT tell your dad any more information, If you are under 18, well, Ah, yeah he would probably force you guys' to break up and depending on what exact type of relationship you have he could call the police and have your bouyfreind arrested,
Now if your over 18, Well, If I were you i wouldn't worry about it all, I'm 27 and i just go done chasing after a girl that was 20 we never went out but i wish we had, She never found a problem with the age,
if your dad's got a problem with it then, you have the option to move out, if you really ove your man.

Tell your dad that you have feelings for this guy and that you want to begin to date him (even though you already are). Explain to your dad that the age is not that big of a difference (unless you are under 18), and that you really enjoy being around him and having his company. I am sure your dad would understand, but you also need to know, that your dad is going to be protective of you since you are his little girl, lol

actually u should have him tell your dad it would be the more respectful thing 2 do i am a father and an uncle and if an older boy would want 2 take 1 of my nieces out i would want 2 hear from him dads are a very good judge of character and jus tell him 2 be honest with your dad.

I have a boyfriend that is 8yrs. older than I am so I know how you feel. It really depends on the age of both of you if you should even be dating, if you know that your dad wouldn't like it and deep down know that you shouldn't be in this situation don't continue the relationship. However if your older and this is someone that your dad "approves" of then tell him, don't keep it from him because if he finds out accidentally then he will see it like you were doing something that you knew he wouldn't like.

You did not say how old you are. If you are under the stated dating age in your family you should honor your dad's rules. If not, then just tell him. Open up your mouth and get it out. But I think that you already what you should do, don't you?

My current gfs sister just told her dad that she was dating a police officer that is 28 years old and she is 17 just graduated the only reason he took it well was cause her boyfriend was thier when she told him try to get your bf thier so he wont over react and cause a big scene.

Yur dad met him once and must be some feelings in his mind about yur friend. Yu ask yur dad how u rate him and can I move further with him? If yur dad has some positive feels for yur friend he may allow yu. Try this.....................but wait if he refuse, pl think yur self again and give proper space before yu take any decison

I Have been through this before.
you need to wright a letter to your dad
telling him how you feel about this guy
and be honest to him
and tell him how you feel period
it worked out for my mom
so maybeh this will work about for your dad
