My suggestion would be if you are not sure of what you want, go to a professional or beauty school to have it done. They have actual samples of colors that you can see and put next to your hair to see what you would like. They could also tell you their ideas and such. If you want to do it, do it right. Besides you're worth the time of checking EVERYTHING out so that you don't end up with something you don't like or a big mistake in the color after you put it on.

I have the same colour hair as you and I would say since we are going into fall and winter to go for a darker colour. I would go for like a deep chocolate brown with a nice dark red high lights either just on top or underneath. Id say for spring you can try going lighter. Hope this helps you out.

i think if your hair was a medium brown color, it would look great with golden blonde highlights and a few darker brown highlights. This will give your hair a lot of dimension and color depth. It wouldn't be hard to maintin it, because when you do touch ups, you can go into a salon and they'll do highlights and lowlights just on the roots. It would be great for the fall, too.

Unless you are willing to maintain the roots every few weeks
only go 2 shades darker or lighter than natural color

I bought hair dye and did my own hair back to its original color. 7 days later I went to the salon and had blond highlights put in my hair. I had highlights all through my hair, I have had nothing but compliments on it.
That same day I had a nice style hair cut to go along with the highlights. I am so happy I had this done...It could work great for you as well.

Use Colour Experte by Loreal. Go 1 shade lighter OR darker, and use the highlight kit. 1 shade is no big deal... no matter the season.

so then comprimise, dont go lighter or darker. Get some hilights in a funky red, or purpley colour, then you can have some fun with it and keep your natural colour at the same time

If you don't know what color to dye your hair then don't do it. But, Red is always a great color. Everyone loves a redhead. Doesnt matter if you pale or tan, it always looks great.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products (like hair colors, get, etc..) and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .
