Well I was around that tall, 5'6" at 11, ended up hitting 6'3" by 14 and never grew another inch. I wouldn't worry about it to much, and enjoy your height! I played basketball/football personally and in basketball, excelled due to my hieght till highschool.

Then you are very lucky, I am 17 and I am only 4'11. I am towered by my 11 year old sister who is the your hieght. Don't worry and appreciate it, and don't let any docs give you hormones that stop you from growing.

Usually that would be constitutional- that means linked to your genes.
But I would take the person to the doctor if he/she was lanky, had a arm span( finger tip to finger tip distance) more than the hight.
This person could,rarely, have Marfan's syndrome.
also watch for clinical Gigantism-that is growth hormone excess.
